Espe joined Which? Legal in July 2006. She advises on all aspects of consumer law as well as employment, holiday and travel, tenancy, parking violations and neighbour disputes. Her previous experience is varied and ranges from commercial law to criminal law. She enjoys clarifying legal points for our members and advising them on the legal issues that affect their everyday life.
Espe deals with all media requests for Which? Legal, which includes providing comment to journalists and interviews for local radio.
Dean is a qualified barrister and was called to the Bar by the Honourable Society of Inner Temple in 1999. He currently practices as a solicitor having cross-qualified in 2004.
He has always worked in the consumer law field, specialising in litigation and alternative dispute resolution. He has previously worked as a Legal Services Manager at Thomson Holidays and has a specialist knowledge and interest in holiday and travel law.
Dean is an experienced adjudicator and has worked for many years as both an adjudicator and a decision writer to the ombudsmen at the Financial Ombudsman Service. He is also a CEDR (Centre of Effective Dispute Resolution) accredited mediator.
Louise is an experienced employment specialist. She trained and qualified as a solicitor in private practice where she handled a case load that included conveyancing, will drafting and probate. She went on to become an in-house solicitor with a large public sector organisation where she soon developed a keen interest in employment law. Within two years she was specialising in both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
Louise joined Which? Legal in 2007 and brought with her the benefit of over ten years' experience working for a variety of organisations where she had represented and advised both employers and employees. Her breadth of knowledge and understanding enables her to give members both legal and practical advice on employment issues and disputes, as well as wills and probate matters.
Maureen is one of the longest serving members of staff at Which? Legal. She is a qualified Barrister and was called to the Bar in 1996. She practised as a barrister specialising in civil litigation and crime before joining Which? Legal.
Maureen is now a specialist consumer lawyer, providing telephone advice to members on a wide range of issues including insurance claims, mobile and telephone disputes, and parking matters. She also advises on complaints arising from holiday and travel disputes, neighbour disputes and landlord law. Maureen is committed to helping consumers obtain justice and she looks forward to speaking to and helping members with their queries.
Peter joined Which? Legal 2008. He is one of our employment law specialists and deals solely with employment queries. He handles a wide variety of different employment issues, from discrimination to dismissal.
Peter previously worked for the Fire Brigade as a retained firefighter and as a consumer rights advisor.
Peter qualified as a solicitor in 2003 and joined Which? Legal as a legal advisor in January 2007. He advises on all aspects of consumer law, as well as tenancy and neighbour disputes.
Before joining Which? Legal, Peter worked for many years in a variety of legal roles within the insurance sector. Peter finds the most satisfying part of working for Which? Legal is helping members resolve their disputes quickly and successfully.
Richard started work with Which? Legal in August 2009. He provides advice to members by telephone and email on a wide variety of consumer law issues, as well as landlord and tenant problems.
Before joining Which? Legal, he worked for a number of years as a lawyer in private practice dealing with a range of civil and commercial litigation, as well as divorce, employment and criminal work. He also worked for the Magistrates Court.
Richard enjoys the opportunity to help members understand their legal rights. He finds it very rewarding to receive feedback from members who have successfully resolved their legal issues.
Luci joined Which? Legal in 2015 as a legal adviser advising on consumer law. She graduated from Southampton University with a law degree and has since worked within the Which? Legal team. She provides telephone and email advice to members on a wide range of issues including cars, mobile and telephone disputes, energy complaints and building disputes.
Luci finds the best part of the job is receiving feedback from members when they have had success resolving their legal dispute.
Emma joined Which? Legal in 2015 and is one of the consumer law advisers. She advises members by telephone and email on a wide range of consumer law issues, including problems with goods and services, energy companies and broadband suppliers. She also answers member’s questions featured in the Which? magazines.
Emma is a law graduate, and graduated from the University of Portsmouth in 2014. Whilst living in Portsmouth she worked for the local council Trading Standards assisting the Trading Standards officers. She is about to start a CILEX Law School course on Civil Litigation and Wills & Probate to expand her legal knowledge.
Nyla joined Which? Legal in 2015. She completed her legal practice course in 2012 and joined Which? Legal as a Legal Adviser specialising in employment and consumer law. She also advises on holiday and travel law, tenancy, parking violations and neighbour disputes. She has previous experience in property law and family law.
Sarah joined Which? Legal in February 2015 and advises on all aspects of consumer law as well as employment law and wills & probate. She has a great level of passion and dedication for her work and she always strives to ensure she provides the best possible service to each member.
Sarah is a practicing solicitor who qualified in January 2013. Prior to joining Which? Legal Sarah worked at a leading regional firm in Hertfordshire. After obtaining her Law Degree from the University of Hertfordshire she completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in London. Sarah is currently studying to become a full member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP).
Ben joined Which? Legal in 2015 as a wills & probate specialist. Ben trained and qualified into private practice and now advises on a range of legal issue including estate administration and Lasting Powers of Attorney. He has previously worked in the recruitment and insurance sectors. Ben enjoys talking to our members and helping them resolve their legal issues.
